Kendrick’s second studio album release has become wildly successful despite his off-the-wall niche style selling 242,000 albums in its first week (that’s the highest 1st week debut for a hip hop album this year). The hip hop community was slow to embrace the Compton based MC at first with his streetwise conscious sensibility and aggressive flow change-ups but despite all of that, Kendrick has still managed to get his music into the ears of consumers, that’s no small feat.

Best Song
Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe takes all of our favorite elements of Kendrick and packs it into one nice long song. Lady Gaga was supposed to be featured on this track originally but due to creative differences the collab never came to fruition. Needless to say, the track stands on its own merit.
